I want to remodel my home – where do I start?

The first step is identifying (and prioritizing) the areas of your home you want to remodel, then determining a budget that is realistic for you and your remodeling needs.

In your initial consultation, we will discuss the goals for and scope of your remodel to start laying the foundation for your renovation plan.

What should I expect during my renovation?

Due to the nature of remodeling/construction, it is reasonable to expect the unexpected. With that being said, Huntington takes every precaution to minimize the disruption in your life.

How long will my remodel take to complete?

The average kitchen remodel takes 6-8 weeks and the average master bath about 5-7 weeks. Timing will, of course, depend on factors such as project type and scope.

Once these factors have been defined, your project developer will devise a timeline with specific dates outlining each phase of your project.

How much should I budget for my remodel?

Your budget will also depend on a variety of factors—your project type/scope, remodeling goals, needs and design preferences.

We offer a variety of financing options to make remodeling your home easier.

Do you have a warranty?

Yes! We are focused on building lasting relationships with our customers and will go the distance if unexpected issues arise, which is why we offer a comparable warranty that aligns with our new home building division. You can find additional details regarding our 1-year warranty within your contract.

Who will I be working with on my remodel?

At Huntington, we believe in the power of three. You will work with a designated team comprised of a project developer, an interior designer and a project manager that will help guide you through each phase of you remodel and provide their respective expertise. Our team approach centers around creating a start-to-finish plan that will enable your vision to come to life.

As with most things in life, communication is key. Our web-based project management platform is a major component in making our process as transparent and streamlined as possible. With instantaneous access to your project digitally through this tool, you can stay up-to-date with weekly progress, upcoming priorities and any outstanding items or meetings, allowing you to plan accordingly and carry on with your daily life.

When is the best time to remodel?

There is no better time than now! Having your home under construction is never convenient, but we do our best to make the process as seamless and unobtrusive as possible, as well as to deliver quality results that exceed your remodeling expectations.

Our design center is available to you by appointment, which we will schedule with you.

Can I stay in my home during the remodel?

Yes, many of our clients choose to remain in their homes during the remodel—we use several containment and remediation methods (i.e. HEPA air filters) to reduce the amount of dust and debris that makes its way into your living spaces and we clean each day before leaving.

We do recommend being away on demolition day due to the noise and for your safety. You can discuss this with your project developer, but ultimately it is up to your discretion.

Can I make any changes after construction starts?

We will always do our best to accommodate your requests, though changes are likely to slow down your job’s progress once the construction phase has begun.

Why should I choose Huntington to remodel my home?
